About ChatGPTToClaude

ChatGPTToClaude is an independent, single-purpose tool: it turns the data export of one AI assistant into a context document the other one understands. It is built and run by an indie developer in the European Union — not by OpenAI, not by Anthropic.

Why this exists

Switching assistants used to mean abandoning months of accumulated context — every project you explained, every preference you expressed, every decision you talked through. The official options move only a thin memory summary. We built the tool we wanted for our own switch: read the whole archive, keep what matters, hand it to the new assistant as one clean document.

The same conviction shapes the privacy design: your export is parsed in your browser, raw conversations are never stored, and the business model is a one-time payment — not your data. The details are in the privacy policy.

Independence

We are not affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic, and the tool works in both directions — ChatGPT → Claude and Claude → ChatGPT — so we have no stake in which assistant you choose. Our guides say so openly, including when the honest answer is "don't switch."
